R.D. Tieber (née Thompson) is an award-winning, Missouri-based artist and crafter who discovered a love and talent for art in early childhood. She comes from a multi-generational tradition of Midwestern female artists and craftswomen. R.D. is predominantly self-taught, specializing in both graphite and oil pastel portraiture, black and white photography, and fiber-based crafts. R.D.’s most current works can be viewed in rotating exhibits and markets in St. Charles County, Missouri, as well as yearly at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia.
